- By John Huffman

- with credit to
- Jon Schneider for PURSUIT.SCR
-
- As you can see, I didn't do much of this myself. I took a really outstanding
- communications program, GT-Powercomm 12.20 and added a PCPursuit script.
- I've tried to make this as simple as possible. The script is straight
- forward without circular dialers for the cities. The one advantage of the
- program is that it is fairly complete. This setup:
-
- - Retries to make a city connection up to 100 times
- (you can bail out at any time by hitting ESC and choosing
- another city or log-off)
-
- - Lets you see what's happening as the script progresses
-
- The package has 7 files:
-
- PURSUIT.SCR - The first script
- PURSUIT2.SCR - called by PUR.SCR for menu of cities
- PURSUIT3.SCR - cycles the city connect commands
- NEXT.SCR - Script to change cities
- OFF.SCR - Script to logoff Pursuit while connected to a city
- NET.SCR - Script for NetExchange
- GT-SCR122.DOC - This documentation
-
- To install, copy the SCR and DIR files to the proper directory for scripts
- and phone directories. (You should have identified such directories in
- your GT configuration ALT-I) Modify the script PURSUIT.SCR to include your
- Pursuit ID and Password. (Use an ASCII text processor or word processor
- in the non-document mode).
-
- If you want to change cities, use the ALT-3 command to run a new script and
- use the script name NEXT. If you're connected to a city and want to log off
- pursuit without going back to the main city menu, just run the OFF script
- (use ALT-3 again). Have fun!
-
- If you have questions or suggestions, leave a message for John Huffman
- on Compuserve (PPN above) or on Mel Douglass' BBS at 713-789-0857 (its
- Pursuit available through the 713 area code).
-
- This script is best used with the directory provided in the GT-SCR2.ARC
- files. The documentation in that package should answer questions.
